Dear Parents/Carers,

It has come to our attention that due to a technical error in the internal school publication  arrangements to parents (ParentMail) the communication that went to parents recently inviting nominations for the parent governor election did not reach the parents/carers of Prendergast Primary. We have just determined that this was the case. The invitation for nominations was posted on the Federation and school websites.

We regret this failure of the technology in this circumstance and are now taking the following steps to address the issue:

• The opening of the ballot which was scheduled for Friday 24 February will be postponed.
• Nominations will be invited from parents/carers of Prendergast Primary only in order to provide the parents/carers from that school the same opportunity of submitting nominations for this election.
• The ballot will open once the nomination deadline for parents/carers of Prendergast Primary has closed. The ballot will therefore include any eligible nominations received from parents/carers of Prendergast Primary as well as the candidates already in the ballot.
• All parents/carers across the Federation will be advised of the revised ballot opening date.

We apologise for the error and inconvenience caused. We thank you for bringing this matter to our attention which has provided the opportunity to rectify the error and ensure that all parents/carers are included in this Parent Governor election.
