Back to Key InformationThe Leathersellers’ Federation of Schools became a Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) on 1st January 2024. The Federation Board is now the accountable body and Local Governing Bodies have been created to provide governance for each of the schools in the Federation.
On conversion to a multi-academy trust in January 2024, a policy review was completed and all statutory policies are in place. In some cases, they remain the same as the policies that were in place prior to conversion as no changes are needed. In others they have been approved in line with the establishment of the multi-academy trust to ensure that the trust is compliant with DfE guidance.
Whilst every effort has been made to update terminology in line with conversion to a multi-academy trust, there may be references to terminology to describe governance prior to this, for example, School Improvement Committees or Governing Board. Where this is the case, responsibilities are superseded by the new Scheme of Delegation.
