Federation Hub School - Open from 8.30am on Monday 30 March

Dear Parents and Carers,

Hub School For All Students Attending Schools in the Leathersellers' Federation of Schools - From Monday 30 March

Thank you for your support during the period of unprecedented school closure and the announcement of the 'staying at home and away from others' strategy. The most important thing that you can do is stay in touch with the schools through checking the website updates, email and social media communications.

In response to Government policy we have now taken the decision to move to a 'Hub School' Strategy.

For all pupils in the Leathersellers' Federation our designated Hub School is Prendergast Ladywell School which has fully equipped Primary and Secondary provision for all of our children.

It is a large site, has good transport links, and is well supported to be a safe, hygienic place for children of critical workers and for other children who need to attend school. Please see the list of critical workers here. Your school will be in touch with you to make clear if you are in the groups who should continue to send your children to school.

The Hub School will be staffed by teachers and support staff from each school, Prendergast Vale School, Prendergast School and Prendergast Ladywell School.

We have made arrangements to have it properly staffed so that we can offer continuing a range of school services and provision including meals and free school meals.

Prendergast Ladywell School is located at Manwood Road, London, SE4 1SA (see location at

It will be open from Monday 30th March each week day from 8.30am to 3.00pm.

Children are not expected to attend in school uniform. When you first attend please bring identification with you. You will be welcomed by a member of staff from your own school.

If you require any further information about the Hub School provision please contact your school admin email: or

Please contact the school if you are a critical worker and require a place reserved for your child.

We want you to know that we will continue to support critical worker’s children and other students in need of school support so they can continue in the national strategy to defeat Covid-19.
